Styling your bedroom in ‘Winter Layers’


With temperatures falling, it’s an ideal time to give your bedroom a seasonal update. Winter calls for warmth and comfort in your home – and we have the tools to help you overhaul your sleeping quarters and create a stylish winter sanctuary.



Recently we have teamed up with our friends at Bed Bath N’ Table to create three beautiful bedroom looks that will provide the perfect escape from the chilly season. Read ahead as we share the details of our final bedroom look, ‘Winter Layers’, styled in the La Pyrenee show home in Balwyn, VIC.



Inspired by the Nordic landscape and a monochromatic palette, ‘Winter Layers’ fuses earthy charcoal tones with glacial shades. The colour scheme expels a sense of calm and harmony and draws elements from three of Metricon’s Lookbook themes: Nordic Elk, Urban Organic and Scandinavian.

Create the look

Bring your ‘Winter Layers’ look to life with a complement of textures. Pair neutral linens with velvet accessories and heavy knits in darker, rich tones to create a homely quality, then embellish the space with faux fur, and brushed metals.

Achieve this look by layering indulgent soft furnishings such as the Bed Bath N’ Table ‘Tree Tops Quilt’, ‘Arctic Faux Fur Throw’ and ‘Chunky Tassel Throw’. Tie the look together and prepare for the wintry climate with the Bed Bath N’ Table ‘Knitted Cable Slipper Boots’ and ‘Snowflake Flannelettes’.

The La Pyrenee

The ‘Winter Layers’ bedroom was styled in our stunning La Pyrenee show home, on display in Balwyn, Victoria. The La Pyrenee from Metricon’s Signature Collection exudes a sense of grandeur and luxury, and features five bedrooms, a breathtaking master suite, and three spacious living areas.
