Our popular Somerset 59 display home in Glen Waverley was featured in an episode of the Seven Network's Best Houses Australia. Host and author Gary Takle met with Ricky D'Alesio, Metricon's Senior Residential Home Designer to discuss the inspiration and thinking behind the Somerset home design.
The fabulous Somerset 59 is a spectacular Georgian inspired double-storey home that features luxurious living spaces that are pieced together with style and elegance. Ricky says that the, "aim of this home was to adopt the architectural forms of mid-1700's neo Georgian architecture with modern architectural influences."
"The façade of this home has a symmetrical beauty that is very grand and a good example of what was the norm in a past era. The proportions of this home are oversized and creates a statement."
