This classic Metricon style delights in combining hard and soft elements

Romance, luxury and a touch of smoke.

One of our most popular interior themes is Minerals, which first hit our Lookbook in 2016 and has been a fan favourite ever since, for our designers and customers alike.

The secret to this Lookbook style's success is the way it brings hard and soft elements and textures together, exuding luxurious living and sophistication. To be more specific, Minerals takes brass fixtures, cool white marble, and monochrome geometric prints and then balances them with a colour palette of soft, smoky pinks and greys.

To recreate this delicate interior theme in your own home, it is best to start with a minimal palette of blush and smoke. Gradually work in natural materials such as timbers, white marble and copper metallics to ensure the perfect balance in gradual contrast.

You could also consider new lighting or plumbing fittings in copper or gold tones. You'll be amazed by how effective this simple (and probably timely) upgrade can be. Or, for an even easier way to experiment with the look, try some new oversized cushions and throws that combine the key elements.

That said, Minerals is just the tip of the iceberg in Metricon's design offering. There are 16 design themes in the current rotation, each designed by our team of expert interior designers and featured in our display homes across the country. You can check them out in our Lookbook, as well as plenty of inspiration on how to recreate some of these stylish interior design trends in your own home.
