Easter inspiration with Bed, Bath’N’Table and Katherine Sabbath

Metricon

Are you looking for styling inspiration this Easter? We recently teamed up with presenter and author of TLC interiors Chris Carroll, who put together a wonderfully Easter inspired table setting using beautiful décor from our friends at Bed, Bath 'N' Table. We were also lucky enough to have the amazingly colourful and self-confessed bake-aholic, Katherine Sabbath join us who created a spectacular Surprise Chocolate Easter Egg Cake for the table centrepiece.

The table setting

Using a selection of décor from Bed, Bath ‘N’ Table, Chris explains that when it comes to styling an Easter table setting, one of the first design elements to consider is the colour pallete. While making this decision can be a lot of fun, it can also be a tough one. Chris’s top tip? Pull inspiration from the surrounding environment, such as the existing interior design scheme of your home.

Secondly, the form of the table setting is also an important consideration, as it creates further visual interest. Chris adds height to the Easter setting with the use of two clear vases filled with artificial branches from Bed, Bath 'N' Table. Perfectly on theme — adorned with hanging Easter egg decorations, this stunning addition to the table is exciting enough to create interest without taking away from the hero — the centrepiece.

The centrepiece

With the table setting perfectly styled, we were then joined by the talented Katherine Sabbath who created the most delicious final addition - a cake to feature as the table centrepiece.

Drawing inspiration from Chris’s styling and the colour scheme achieved across the table, Katherine opted for pastel pink and peach to decorate the cake. Katherine explains that while she enjoys achieving the wow factor when bringing her cake creations to life, she chose to add a subtle hint of pink and peach to this cake to complement the hero colour of duck egg blue.

Filmed in our stunning La Pyrenee show home in Balwyn VIC, watch ahead and see how Katherine brought the cake together, while Chris also shares his tips for creating the Easter inspired table setting:
