Support young people affected by cancer on Bandanna Day

Held on October 30th, National Bandanna Day is the flagship fundraising and awareness campaign for Canteen. Since Bandanna Day began it has raised more than $33 million to support young people impacted by cancer.

With your support, funds raised from Bandanna Day will help young people impacted by cancer get access to programs, counselling and peer support.

Metricon is a proud partner of Canteen and we’d love you to join us in standing up to cancer.

You can get involved in a range of ways to show your support.

Our commitment to you and your community

We believe giving and sharing creates a strong foundation on which true community spirit grows. Metricon is committed to building and nurturing strong relationships with organisations in the community that do good things - which is why we support charities and engage in sponsorships. Our support includes collaborations with two principal national charities, assisting local charities in regional communities, and sponsoring sporting clubs.

Metricon works nationally with two principal charity partners providing financial and in-kind support. Each has been chosen for the excellent work they do in the community and alignment with the issues Metricon’s people feel passionate about.

Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity believes that a stable, secure home creates the foundation for change; that a safe home gives people the opportunity to be healthier, happier and more secure, and for children to be better nourished and educated.

At Metricon, we believe everyone should have a place to call home, which is why this partnership is such a special one to us and our people. We are committed to helping Habitat for Humanity build, renovate and restore homes for disadvantaged Australians around the country. Because building a decent home provides much more than bricks and mortar – it builds community and provides real hope for the future.

Metricon is in a unique position to share some of its good fortune with Australian families. We’re proud of the contribution we can make to supporting people experiencing adversity. We actively encourage our team to pursue volunteering opportunities through paid volunteering days - not only with our principal partners but with the wide range of causes that mean something to them personally.

Housing All Australians

Australia’s affordable housing crisis cannot be solved by government alone. Housing All Australians is leading a private sector movement that aims to ensure all Australians have a stable place to call home. One of its initiatives is to re-purpose empty buildings into temporary accommodation, with a long term goal of securing more investment in affordable housing. Metricon is proud to support Housing All Australians.

As a national business with regional reach and employees, we know that supporting communities extends beyond the big smoke. Our regional offices support many different causes. If you’re in a regional area and have a cause you’d like us to consider, please drop us an email at outlining why you need our help and why you think Metricon is a good fit with your cause.

Gold Coast Suns at Metricon Stadium

Metricon has been a Gold Coast SUNS corporate partner since the SUNS’ inaugural 2011 season, and the alliance notably includes naming rights of the Club’s home ground, Metricon Stadium.

AFL is a popular code around the country and Metricon is proud to be instrumental in growing the code’s supporter base on the Gold Coast where we have a strong business and customer presence.

Metricon has purpose built the Metricon Home Hub at the stadium for on-ground activations and frequently gets involved in other fun game day initiatives.

Melbourne Victory Football Club

Metricon is Melbourne Victory Football Club’s Principal Partner for the 2018/2019 season.

The partnership aligns Metricon’s sponsorship commitments with the recreational activities its customers passionately support.

As Australia’s fastest growing football code, Association Football engages 1,983,000 participants and 7,700,000 fans. The Melbourne Victory Football Club partnership is a natural fit for Metricon and many of its customers who love the code.

South Sydney Rabbitohs

Recognising that Rugby League is also widely supported by its customers, Metricon has a sponsorship agreement in place with the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

This alliance includes naming rights of the Club’s stadium, the Metricon High Performance Centre.

Like Metricon, the South Sydney Rabbitohs is a club with a proud heritage, a strong and inclusive culture, and a real desire to make a difference to the community.
