*These initiatives apply to customers making initial or preliminary contract estimate deposits to build with Metricon between 11 April 2010 to 30 September 2020 only, (the Period):
1. Deposit Safety Net Guarantee: Subject to the exclusions noted below**, initial or preliminary contract estimate deposits paid to Metricon during the Period will be refunded if, before entering into a building contract with Metricon, the customer decides they are unable to proceed with building a new home because they have suffered Financial Hardship and can demonstrate this to Metricon. This policy does not apply to building contract deposits paid during the Period (that is, the balance of 5% of the contract price due and payable once a building contract is signed). **This Guarantee does not apply to DualOcc by Metricon homes or any new home requiring town planning approval. Financial Hardship means the following change in financial circumstances directly attributable to the Covid-19 pandemic: a customer’s working hours or salary are reduced by their employer, they have been stood down or become unemployed or they have become unable to work either because they have been required to self-isolate or have been diagnosed with Covid-19 and are unable to work.
2. Price Drop Guarantee: Subject to the exclusions noted below^, if Metricon drops the price of the customer’s selected home before their job becomes ‘authorised to commence construction’ (that is, a signed building contract has been entered into and Metricon has received the customer’s evidence of ownership of the site and capacity to pay the contract price and all planning and building permits have been received), the reduced price may apply. ^If there is a price drop to the base price of the home within the applicable time period (as noted above), the customer will be afforded the choice of taking up the cheaper price, on condition they accept the specification and/or promotion offered by Metricon at that time. 3. Price Extension Assurance: Metricon will offer a further 90 calendar day extension to any price hold period and applies to customers with non-titled land only.
4. If any aspect of this Initiative is not capable as running as planned, Metricon reserves the right to cancel, modify or suspend it at any time.
