Award winning design: Discover the Botanica

Now on display in Pallara, Queensland, the Hampton’s-inspired Stamford façade of the Botanica 36 offers a glimpse into the coastal luxury that lies within. The Botanica capitalises on both style and practicality, cementing its status as one of Metricon’s most prevalent award-winning home designs.

The Designer by Metricon Botanica maximises its 36 square layout, and features impressive living areas that are enriched by light and space. Metricon’s Design Director Adrian Popple explains the inspiration behind bringing the Botanica design to fruition was ‘to create a spacious, luxurious single-storey home, with a key focus on the master bedroom suite'.

The master suite - located to the front of the home – is the ultimate hotel-style retreat for parents to escape and unwind in a beautiful indoor meets outdoor setting. Featuring his and her walk-in robes and a generous ensuite bathroom bathed in an abundance of natural light, this space incorporates the outdoor environment whilst maintaining the assurance of privacy.

The Botanica’s cohesive open-plan living zone is the epitome of an entertainer’s domain. The seamless integration of the alfresco living space, invites you to take advantage of the balmy Queensland climate, and provides a tranquil setting to enjoy the company of both guests and family alike.

The relaxed littoral atmosphere of the Botanica can be attributed to the interior palette and design of the home. Metricon's Senior Interior Designer, Melissa Colley characterises the theme as ‘Hamptons-inspired in a casual manner, with coastal influencers throughout’. Similar to that of Metricon’s Southampton Lookbook theme – the Botanica introduces crisp whites, neutral beiges and greys, and inky ocean blues. The home is completed with coastal ornaments such as imitation coral, fossil shells and glass buoys to embellish the theme.

Chris Carroll of TLC Interiors recently met with Metricon design experts Adrian and Melissa to tour the Botanica home design, and discuss the inspiration behind its unique features. Watch ahead:
