Metricon is, once again, the darling of the Victorian home building industry, after being the most awarded regional home builder for the second year running. Over the last two years, we have been recognised by Victoria’s peak building bodies for our home building excellence, receiving a total of 20 awards for our stunning workmanship across the state.

Our run of regional wins was cemented at the Housing Industry Association’s top awards celebration last week, with our Mantra 29, which is on display in Kialla, in the Goulburn Valley, crowned the best display home in the $250,001 to $300,000 category.

“We have a proud 40-year history of creating homes for Australian families to love where they live,” Regional North Manager, Tania Tonks said. “To receive this continued recognition for our workmanship, design, innovation and ongoing dedication to the highest standards on and off the worksite, is a thrill and a credit to our regional north team.”

In Warragul, in the state’s south east, the HIA named our Delta 22 the best display home in the $250,001 to $300,000 category. The stunning single-level abode also took out the Master Builders Association of Victoria award for Best Volume Builder Display Home priced between $250,000 - $350,000.

And the accolades kept on coming at the MBAV’s night of nights, with Warragul’s recently opened Fortitude 32, as well as the Tulloch 22 in Sale, receiving top honours, being named best display homes in the $350,000 to $500,000 and under $250,000 categories respectively.

We also saw success in the state’s south west, picking up a suite of awards for our Geelong, Bellarine and Surf Coast designs, including Best Custom Home and Regional Residential Builder of the Year for the Akuna in Point Lonsdale.

This success has been made possible with the help of more than 200 local people who we employ across regional Victoria, as well as the services provided to us by over 100 local trades, all of whom share our vision and passion for producing beautiful, high-quality homes.

That our business has been built on the knowledge and expertise of local people and local trades, who design, sell and build homes specifically with the wants and needs of regional Victorians in mind, is why the judges continually award our homes ahead of the competition.

Metricon’s Regional West Manager, Simon Taylor said the awards are a testament to our local teams, our passion for what we do, and the regional families we do it for.

“Our customers have, and always will be, our top priority and it is a privilege that regional Victorian home buyers continue to trust us with the most important purchase of their lives,” he said. “It’s what drives us to continually improve our delivery of superior design, great quality construction and customer care.”

Metricon is proud to have been building houses for people living in regional Victoria for more than 13 years and, earlier this year, we celebrated the exciting milestone of having handed over the keys to our 7,500th regional home.
