In celebration of the opening of Metricon’s Hampshire show home in Essendon, VIC, Signature by Metricon held an exclusive VIP event last Thursday evening. The luminous Hampshire residence provided a picturesque backdrop for an evening that saw guests indulge in the opulent Signature by Metricon experience.

As the evening commenced, guests arrived through the grand entrance of the Hampshire and were greeted with champagne from the wait staff. An acoustic duo set the atmosphere as guests moved through the hallway into the spacious open-plan living zone – the social hub of the home – where they were able to mingle and enjoy an impressive grazing table, complete with a honey cider glazed ham on the bone and Applewood smoked ocean trout.

Chris Carroll, author and stylist of TLC Interiors and host for the evening, officially opened the event and introduced Damian Morabito, Signature by Metricon Sales and Brand Manager. Damian captivated the crowd, speaking of the significance of the evening and the details around the Hampshire’s unique design and façade. Metricon CEO Mario Biasin was also in attendance and was delighted to be welcoming Metricon’s VIP guests to the exclusive event.

As the evening progressed, Chris Carroll welcomed all guests into the sitting room of the home where he introduced Metricon Design Manager Ricky D’Alesio and Metricon Senior Interior Designer Jacinta Evans, both of whom were involved in bringing the Hampshire to fruition.

Ricky spoke of the key features of the Hampshire, expressly the grand Empire façade and enclosed private balcony – the two core contributing factors to the Hampshire’s immense street appeal. Ricky also spoke of the interior home design, which aimed to provide adaptable living spaces, functioning as both a family home and an entertainer’s domain.

“The essence of the Hampshire is opulence and luxury hotel-style living. The layout is all about generosity of space. This home has appeal in the large number of bedrooms and living spaces, but also in the fact that each and every one feels spacious and deluxe,” said Ricky.

Metricon Senior Interior Designer Jacinta Evans spoke around the interiors of the home, referencing both the colour palette and soft furnishings. Influenced by European contemporary styling, Jacinta explained the Hampshire is characterised by warm tones of mocha and taupe, paired with rich marble and grey wash timber. Jacinta continued, emphasising the importance of creating character in a space by accessorising, such as the gold detailing and feature lighting in the Hampshire that were added to exude a sense of grandeur.
