It was an absolute pleasure to have over 50 guests attend our special Mother’s Day Table Styling Lookbook Masterclass. Chris Carroll from The Life Creative hosted the event which was all about creating the perfect table style for Mother’s Day. Guests would agree that this interactive event certainly made for an enjoyable evening.

Inspiration for your table

Metricon’s Senior Interior Designer, Jacinta Evans, presented guests with two stunning and very different table styles - contemporary/elegant and rustic/native Australian. Jacinta shared tips and ideas with the eager audience on just how to achieve the look of each table style with our Lookbook themes and Salt&Pepper dinnerware.

Salt&Pepper Table Settings to Suit Your Style

Each table style offered a different look and our guests were drawn to either one or the other. The contemporary/elegant table style, which featured the Amelie range from Salt&Pepper, gives a feminine touch and brings a sense of warmth to the table. The rustic/native Australian table style brings the great outdoors to your gathering, with the Nomad range of Salt&Pepper dinnerware.

Violet & the Fox Floral Design Tips

Mother’s Day wouldn’t be the same without fresh flowers. The mastermind behind Violet & the Fox, Mel Barkley, won the attention of guests who were excited about creating their very own floral arrangement in Metricon’s Studio M.

Guests learnt how to create their own floral arrangement and Mel gave encouraging floral design tips to get everyone started with their own arrangement. Who would have thought that mixing bleach and sugar into the water would prolong the life of our flowers?!

The silence in Studio M was a sign that guests were concentrating on what Mel had shared with us and it was great to see everyone encouraging each other with their posy making techniques.
