Check out the Somerset 59: The display home open in Glen Waverley

Metricon

In 2015, Metricon hosted a special event - A Night at the Somerset - to celebrate the long awaited opening of a stunning new Signature by Metricon display home., the Somerset 59, in Glen Waverley. This spectacular Georgian inspired home features luxury living spaces pieced together with style and elegance.

At the launch event there were presentations from our very own designers and interior stylists, before the Somerset was officially opened by the Honourable Mayor Paul Klisaris (City of Monash). The invited guests, including prospective home buyers and real estate agents, were able to experience the true opulence of what a Signature by Metricon home can offer.

Check out some of the photos taken at the event and enjoy the sizzle reel of the opening below.

The Somerset 59 is a large two-storey home featuring five bedrooms, including a master bedroom with ensuite bathroom and 2 walk-in-robes, 4 bathrooms, a double garage and a great sized outdoor room and is a proud addition to our Signature by Metricon brand, one that also boasts the magnificent Bordeaux display home in Balwyn.

Senior Residential Home Designer Ricky D'Alesio says that the "aim of this home was to adopt the architectural forms of mid-1700's neo Georgian architecture with modern architectural influences."

"The façade of this home has a symmetrical beauty that is grand and overwhelming, a good example of what was the norm in a past era. The proportions of this home are oversized and creates a statement."

Tracey Noonan, Senior Interior Designer says that "inside we have kept with the Georgian idea by using classical materials for the hard finishes with the use of marble look tiles and stone."

"The furniture and lighting throughout the home is Architectural as we wanted to modernise the home and create a home that we feel leads the market. Warm timber and furnishings create the modern look throughout the home along with unexpected architectural features."
