  2. Have you chosen from Metricon’s standard list of approved New Home options?
  3. Is your land registered?
  4. Are you building in Queensland?
  5. Are you building on a sewered site?

Please note that any Council approval applications to the build may add additional time to the FastTrack journey. The amount of additional time will be confirmed by your Pre-site Manager when lodging for a full building approval.

For eligible buyers, our new FastTrack program can get a family to start building in 8 weeks if they meet the Fast Track eligibility criteria. If they don’t meet this criteria, we’ve still got these buyers covered with a commitment to get them to contract in just three weeks, giving them confidence in securing the HomeBuilder Grant before it expires.

Your responsibilities - Our responsibilities

Metricon's FastTrack 8 weeks to site start program explained at each step.

Step 1.

Customer: Deposit
You've selected the perfect home and now we need a $1,500 payment to get the ball rolling. Congratulations - this is the first step towards your own brand new Metricon home.

Metricon: Prepare contract
We will prepare working drawing plans, cost up any options you have selected in tender and include your standard specifications

Step 2.

Customer: Contract signing
This is where your plans and costings come to life. It's time to make things official, don't forget to ask lots of questions at your contract signing appointment.

Metricon: Lodge building permit
We will submit your plans and all associated documentation to our private certifier or Council for all necessary approvals to build your home.

Step 3.

Customer: Studio appointment
The most exciting part of building your new home is styling your home from over 10,000 product choices at Studio M.

Metricon: Costing for variations
We will prepare costings for all upgraded items selected during your Studio M selection appointments.

Step 4.

Customer: Sign off final plans / variations
All final selections are costed and final plans amended, we are now ready to start preparing you for site start.

Metricon: Prepare final drawings
We will prepare your construction plans and include any variation changes made during your pre-site journey.

Step 5.

Customer: Provide bank finance approvals
We need all official finance documentation at this stage. It can take some time so start preparing early.

Metricon: Prepare for site start
We will start the ordering process for your build and liaise with all relevant contractors and trades. We will then prepare for site start as well as confirm your build timeframe.

Step 6.

Customer: Site Manager meeting
Time to meet your Site Manager and get prepared for construction to begin.

Metricon: Site start
We will lock in a confirmed site start date for us to build your dream home.

Step 7.

Customer: Commencement
Attend onsite milestone meetings as arranged by your Site Manager

It's time for us to get to work with constructing and delivering your brand new home.
