You don’t need to have made the final decision on your preferred Metricon home to employ GeoSite magic. GeoSite can render a full 3D image of your home, allowing you to look at it from every angle and consider which home is best suited for your land and the orientation.

We’ve even built in settings that allow you to observe how your new home will look at different times of the day and even how that will change with the seasons. You can then easily optimise the orientation of your home for maximum energy efficiency and natural lighting.

The GeoSite tool is so intelligent that all you have to do is tell us where your plot of land is and the program gives you a whole heap of information about that specific area.

How does it work?

We’ll load the home design of your choice into GeoSite and then we can move it around on a simulation of your actual site. Our sales consultant then draws information from the program that indicates the suitability of your home design for the land that you’ve got, and any adjustments that might need to be made.

Consider building rules and regulations

To deliver a well-planned community, many developers have building rules and regulations within their design guidelines. By understanding these up front, we help you to identify matters that may cause delay or increase costs in the building process such as setbacks, garage heights, the need for retaining walls, etc.

Understand site costs

Our sales consultant can give you a full Site Costs Estimate based on the information from GeoSite. This may include expenses associated with:

• Landscaping adjustments to ensure secure foundations. This includes observing the fall, or slope, of the land and any cut and fill jobs that may be required.
• Adjustments to the design of your house to adhere to building rules and regulations as well as taking into account easements where the Council has placed things you can’t build over, such as electricity cables or gas and water pipes.
• Drainage requirements.
• Retaining walls that might be required to stabilise your property.
• Termite protection that might be necessary.

Understanding all of this information will make your life so much easier when you make the application to your local council for permission to build your home. It will also mean you can be fully aware of the REAL costs of building your home, so you can budget accordingly.
