Metricon offers you the security and comfort of an 18 week build time guarantee on single storey homes, commencing from your building site cut.
If we do not meet that date, Metricon will pay your rent (up to $300 per week) until your new home is completed. Now that’s peace of mind.

Metricon – 18-Week Build Guarantee
An 18-week build time guarantee is offered by Metricon on single storey homes under 30 sqr’s in NSW that meet the following conditions:

- Applicable to deposits from January 1st 2009
- The home is our standard home design with standard inclusions with no structural variations including standard options; and
- The build time guarantee period commences when your site is scraped and/or cut by Metricon; and
- The build time guarantee period concludes on the date Metricon confirms to you in writing that the house has reached practical completion.
- Building commencement dates are subject to relevant approvals, land registration, finance approvals and all client requirements being fulfilled under the contract.
The guarantee will not apply:
- For two storey homes or split level homes
- To demolition sites and/or where the home requires a traffic management plan for construction to proceed
- To multiple unit development or redevelopment sites
- To homes that include landscaping (including timber decking), driveways, render, retaining walls, stone benchtops, glass splashbacks, timber floors or curtains/blinds
- To home sites with greater than 1m fall across the building area and/or where a waffle pod slab system is not being used and/or where rock excavation is required
Subject to meeting these conditions, Metricon will pay $300 per week until the home (has reached practical completion) if it does not meet the guaranteed construction timeframe.
This build time guarantee is also subject to any extension of time clause and suspension of work clause in the New Home Contract. These timeframes will automatically be extended by 5 weeks, should the applicable construction period occur during the industry shutdown period commencing on or about 22nd December of each year.
