Mother’s Day is fast approaching and you’re probably wondering how to celebrate it in style. We’ve created two stunning table styles that are sure to impress your guests this Mother’s Day. The first table style was created at our Vantage display and offers a Contemporary/Elegant setting. We bring a Rustic/Native Australian theme to the table in our Hampshire display for our second table style. The choice is yours…go all out...you can easily recreate one of these table styles for the special women in your life this Mother’s Day.

For both table styles, we’ve worked together with Salt&Pepper for tableware and Violet & the Fox for floral design. Read on to find out how you can create a memorable Mother’s Day.

Table Style Options for Mother’s Day

Metricon’s Senior Interior Designer, Jacinta Evans, has designed easy-to-create table styles that are perfect for a Mother’s Day lunch or dinner. These table styles are sure to make this Mother’s Day an enjoyable one for everyone.

Take a look at the Contemporary/Elegant setting that was created in our Vantage home display:

If you’re looking to create a contemporary and elegant table style that’s feminine and has a sense of warmth, then this is the one for your Mother’s Day table setting.  This table style is fresh and beautiful and yet so easy to create!

The Salt&Pepper Amelie and Nomad dinnerware we’ve chosen brings elegance to the table and Violet & the Fox floral arrangements really complement the theme of the Contemporary/Elegant table style.

Moving to our Hampshire home display, a Rustic/Native Australian table style was created and you’ll be impressed at how effortlessly you can achieve this look for your table. Check out our video:

This table style brings the great outdoors to your gathering and the use of Salt&Pepper’s tableware that offers the handmade look really does make it a winner. We love the Australian natives that Violet & the Fox have selected to tie in with the dinnerware and to suit our theme.

Which Lookbook Themes Create an Impressive Table Style?

We’ve made it easy for you this year to create a table style that will impress.

The Contemporary/Elegant table style was inspired by our Lookbook themes, the Southampton with timeless elegance and Minerals which oozes with soft pastels and metallic materials.

The Lookbook theme, Urban Organic has been used to bring natural materials and muted colours to the table and Provincial Trader welcomes timber highlights to produce a Rustic/Native Australian table style.

What Tableware should be used for the Table Setting?

Tableware from Salt&Pepper’s Amelie range brings a wonderful gold luxe feel to the Contemporary/Elegant table with cutlery and serving platters. The table setting gives a modern take on the traditional teacup and saucer look and we’re sure that your family will fall in love with this table style.

In the video, be sure to take note of the tablecloth for the Contemporary/Elegant table setting that is positioned on the diagonal to bring more interest to the overall look. Jacinta has designed a table style for the new age Mum and it’s the perfect look for Mother’s Day.

The Salt&Pepper Nomad tableware used for the Rustic/Native Australian table setting brings us gorgeous earthy tones and rustic timbers. Here we’ve used large chopping boards as place mats. The natural wood table and the use of chopping boards mean that a tablecloth wasn’t needed to achieve the Rustic/Native Australian look. You’ll love this table style if you’re after that country feel.

Add a touch of personalisation with name tags to make your guests feel even more welcome this Mother’s Day.

How do I Incorporate Floral Design?

Violet & the Fox have shown their talent with floral designs for both of our table styles.

The Contemporary/Elegant table style will bring beautiful colours to your Mother’s Day lunch or dinner. Violet & the Fox recommend starting with colour to achieve this look and this can be flowed through to the tableware. An accent colour can then be added and foliage has been used to give texture and tone to enhance the floral design on this table style.

Stunning floral design was achieved for the Rustic/Native Australian table style, using native flowers to complement the organic nature of this table style. The side board arrangement brings the theme to other areas of the home and is simply a mini version of the main floral arrangement in a smaller vase.

We hope you are inspired to create your very own table style. The difficult decision will be which one to choose…contemporary/elegant or rustic/native Australian? Huge thanks go to Salt&Pepper and Violet & the Fox who have partnered with us to make this Mother’s Day one that your family will remember for years to come.
