The Doulton delights during Lunar New Year

Metricon’s fabulous edition to the Designer by Metricon range, the Doulton, was showcased in celebration of the 2017 Lunar New Year. This stunning two-storey home provided a wonderful backdrop for guests to enjoy traditional Lunar New Year entertainment and activities in a modern setting.

MasterChef winner and the host of Destination Flavour Adam Liaw was in attendance, cooking up a storm in the impressive kitchen and delighting guests with an interactive demonstration.

When the kitchen wasn’t buzzing, the garden was alight with the stunning Chinese dancers from Kita Performing Arts Company, adorned in traditional purple dress, whirling in the warmth of the early evening. Guests were also treated to the incredible skill of master calligrapher Benlin You.

While the evening was in celebration of one of the most important events on the Chinese calendar, the real star of the show was without a doubt the new home design. The magnificent Doulton proudly adorns the ‘majestic’ label and exceeds expectations of even the most discerning buyer.

Its grand stature boasts five bedrooms – all with their own ensuite. There are multiple living areas inside and a large outdoor room that allows you to enjoy additional living space all year round. The sweeping staircase upon entry is quite a feature of this home design and was the talking point of many of the guests at the Lunar New Year celebration.

The host of the special event was Chris Carroll, interior designer from The Life Creative.

He delighted in the fun and up-close and personal nature of the event – something Metricon has become known for. Also in attendance was Brian Murphy, the General Manager for Inner Urban at Metricon, who was thrilled to be able to launch such a beautiful home at this special time of year for all to enjoy.
