We’re pleased as punch that three of our homes won HIA (Housing Industry Association) Vic awards on the weekend. The Cohen 31 in Cranbourne took out the Best Display Home up to $250,000 category, while the Vantage 45 and Sovereign 50 in Craigieburn won the $300,001-$350,000 and $350,000-400,000 categories respectively.

Cohen 31: Winner of Best Display Home up to $250,000

The Cohen 31 (below, left) is a mid-sized home for those who seek an attractive single storey home that is sensibly zoned for maximum living flexibility, but which also offers a little more space where you need it. The addition of a formal living room adds an unexpected touch of class, but the overall price will still delight the budget conscious.

Vantage 45: Winner of Best Display Home $300,001-$350,000

Can you fit the Vantage 45, blessed with superior fixtures and fittings and 'everything that opens and shuts', on a narrow 12.5 metre wide block, still delivering four spacious bedrooms, and no fewer than four living areas? Yes, now you can. Indeed, choose a 14m wide block and you can make that five living areas, plus enjoy a full-sized bath in the master suite (pictured above), large walk in robes in the additional bedrooms, and more.

Sovereign 50: Winner of Best Display Home $350,000-400,000

The Sovereign 50 (below, right) is a dramatic family home that speaks volumes about the style and standing of its owners. The magnificent master suite is almost a home in itself. A theatre room often replaces some other room in lesser homes, but not here – here you can also relax in a formal sitting room, vast dining, kitchen, family and linen area, and an outdoor room. Did we mention the leisure room upstairs?

HIA Life membership for George Kline

Our founding director George Kline was also acknowledged with life membership of the HIA. As founder and co-director of Metricon Homes, George has more than 45 years’ experience in the home building and property development industry. His passion and professionalism has helped propel Metricon to become one of Australia’s leading builders so it’s fitting that he joins only a handful of Victorians to be acknowledged with the honour of life membership of the HIA. Congratulations, George!
