Ex-Porter Davis customers can look forward to the completion of their homes by Metricon, Australia’s largest home builder.
Metricon has reached an agreement with VMIA to quote on the completion of builds affected by the Porter Davis collapse.
We have the financial strength and operational capacity to complete the necessary building works and help ex-Porter Davis customers from across Victoria.
We have a dedicated construction and operations team in place to support these builds, while not affecting the pace or quality of the houses we are building for our existing Victorian customers.
Our dedicated team and streamlined approach will ensure that we get affected customers into their homes as soon as possible.
Metricon will provide quotes to complete a select number of builds as soon as possible and in most cases at no additional cost to customers (subject to verification at issuance of new Metricon contract).
Those customers will be contacted by a Metricon representative to start their journey.

To ensure the quickest completion of your home, we will build you home to the specifications of your previous build without any changes.
We have established a streamlined approach which will see all affected customers get into their new home as soon as possible from contract signing. For many customers with well progressed builds, the time to completion will be much shorter.
The VMIA have worked to identify the ex-Porter Davis jobs which are most suited to Metricon, that we will take over the construction of and complete and in most cases at no additional cost to customers (subject to verification at issuance of new Metricon contract).
No, Metricon will build your home to the existing specification of your previous contract. In the rare instance that we cannot match your specification, we will provide a like-for-like comparison which we will discuss with you.
All customers that have been nominated by the VMIA as suitable for Metricon to complete construction for will be contacted by Metricon directly.
If your construction project hasn’t been nominated by the VMIA as suitable for Metricon to complete the construction of, we encourage you to contact the VMIA directly about your options.
Metricon will apply for building insurance on behalf of our customers, in accordance with the HIA contract. When you sign your new contract with Metricon, a new insurance policy will be issued through the VMIA.
No. We have a dedicated construction and operation team to look after and support the ex-Porter Davis customer builds. We are focused on both supporting ex-Porter Davis customers, whilst not affecting Metricon customers.
