Metricon is delighted to have won the Display Home Under $350,000 category at the recent HIA-CSR NSW Housing Awards. The Awards recognise excellence in housing innovation, material selection, design, construction and services to the NSW residential building industry.
Metricon’s Phoenix 38 Nuvo project at Carnes Hill, NSW (partnered by Austral Bricks) was described by judges as having “great entry appeal, lovely high ceilings and a large, practical upstairs living area. Offering five generous sized bedrooms, excellent walk through kitchen, butler’s pantry and laundry this display home represents good value for money in this category.”
Metricon also won the Kitchen in a Display Home category (partnered by Smeg Australia) for their Carnes Hill project, in conjunction with Castlewood Kitchens Pty Ltd. Judges said “this spacious family kitchen is a credit to the cabinetmaker and shows the advantage of teaming up a specialist kitchen manufacturer with a display home builder. The quality of the workmanship is above and beyond the majority of display homes. Features include an adventurous use of materials with a warm colour palette, clear glass splashback enabling a charming connection to the garden and good flow from kitchen to dining room to the butler’s kitchen.”
Winners of the state awards progress to the HIA’s national awards next year.
