For the fifth consecutive year, Metricon remains Victoria’s leading home builder and has also held onto it’s ranking as the third largest home builder nationally, according to the Housing Industry Association (HIA) Housing Top 100 report released today.
Metricon’s Founder and joint CEO, George Kline, said the housing construction industry had been the backbone for Australia’s economy during the global financial crisis and he was thrilled that so many Australian families had chosen to put their trust in Metricon.
The HIA Housing Top 100 report is based on the number of site starts and despite the tougher housing conditions in 2007/08 Metricon maintained its market share whilst increasing site starts.
Metricon also expanded into the New South Wales (NSW) home construction market in January this year building on its highly successful entry into the Queensland market and determined to provide its service to as many prospective buyers as possible.
“Our dedication to consistently create and build quality homes for the modern Australian family has enabled us to remain Victoria’s leading homebuilder and to now be one of the largest in Australia.”
“Over the last 12 months, we have built 2237 homes nationally, a slight movement from last year mainly driven by a soft property market and consumer sentiment in the first half of the year in Queensland. However our homeland in Victoria has proven to be upbeat and very strong. It’s rewarding that so many Australians chose to build with Metricon over any other builder.” Mr Kline said
“The success of this year has been coupled with the release of new home designs responding to the changes in consumers dreams and needs – striking new facades, living options to suit all buyers and a display network set in the heart of the most sought after estates.
“Customers who walk through our Display Homes don’t take long to decide to build with us, a leading builder backed with a rock solid 25 year guarantee, gives consumers enormous peace of mind when they are making such a big life decision. They have also referred us to family and friends which is the greatest compliment we could possibly receive,” Mr Kline suggested.
With the growing demand for new housing styles in regional areas, Metricon has expanded its business to include Ballarat, Bendigo, Geelong, Gippsland, Shepparton and Wodonga. Nationally, Metricon has operations in Victoria and Queensland, and in January moved into NSW.
“Metricon offers buyers award-winning designs, prime land and convenient finance options. The most important thing Metricon can do is listen to our customers, provide them with solutions and where possible take the stress out of the life changing decisions they are making, and we do that by providing complete solutions in land, house designs and finance packages,” Mr. Kline said.
