Metricon commits to Shepparton

19/02/2009

With a string of industry honours, 30 years of award winning design experience and housing solutions to combat the affordability concerns – there has never been a better time to visit Metricon.

Metricon Area Manager Shepparton – Tania Moyle, suggests Metricon’s objective is to make home ownership more accessible for thousands of new home buyers, many of whom have found it difficult to purchase in today’s market due to turbulent interest rates and the high cost of housing in general.

“We have a range of fixed price house and land packages available throughout the Shepparton area, starting as low as $243,000, and all come with Metricon’s 25 year structural guarantee. Our objective is to make home ownership more accessible for thousands of new home buyers, many of whom have found it difficult to purchase in today’s market due to rising interest rates and the high cost of housing in general.

We also have a long standing history with supporting the local trades and suppliers regardless of what regional, small town we are building in. All of our major trades and suppliers are from Shepparton and surrounding areas. Our building regions are quite extensive. We currently build in 32 locations throughout the Shepparton region – starting in Mansfield and all the way through to Koondrook. We accurately see ourselves as a small local builder with a great team of professional, loyal and committed tradesmen,” offers Tania.

“As one of Australia’s leading home builders we have always taken pride in supporting the local community. Whether through sponsorship of local teams, or through our successful Community Growth Program, or building a home to be auctioned for a great cause, we take as many opportunities as we can to give back to the people who support us.

In 2008 the Shepparton team took part in Metricon’s Drought Relief program that assists farmers in the Shepparton, Echuca and Cobram regions with much needed resources. The program donated $100,000 and struck a special cord with our team as so many families and businesses with the Shepparton region have been affected by the drought.

The Shepparton team last year were also blessed to play host for the Very Special Home Metricon auctioned off for Very Special Kids. The auction attracted much attention from residents – as well as from local identities such as Kevin Hicks who was the auctioneer on the day. All proceeds from this sale went directly back to the charity,” enthused Tania.
