Metricon has announced a new, 3 year corporate sponsorship with the Bulleen-Templestowe Boomers which will provide more basketball players the opportunity to develop their sporting talent.
Under the deal, in return for their sponsorship of the Bulleen-Templestowe Boomers, Metricon becomes the key sponsor of its basketball teams.
Metricon’s General Manager of Marketing, Darren Mehl, said that the agreement is a great reflection of Metricon’s commitment to community involvement.
“We have been building dream homes since we commenced operations over 30 years ago and have established solid and lasting relationships with the communities where the Boomers are playing,” said Darren. “This includes supporting sporting clubs, community organisations and recruiting local staff, suppliers and tradespeople whenever we can.
The Club was established in 1969 and has produced great players and ambassadors for the sport and Australia.
The Boomers attract players, coaches, referees, team managers and officials - most of who are volunteers from catchment areas primarily covering the city of Manningham.
“We are pleased to be associated with such a fabulous not for profit organisation,” said Darren.
The Bulleen Boomers caters for over 3,000 players involved in primary schools programs, domestic junior and senior programs and senior Victorian Basketball League (VBL) programs.
Every Friday night, members of the Club play at stadiums in metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria, including Ballarat, Shepparton and Bendigo.
Ron Carlton from the Bulleen Boomers, said that he was thrilled when Metricon agreed to sponsor for three years, giving the Club an opportunity to focus on training and developing its players.
“Metricon has an excellent reputation in Victoria for its quality, innovative designs and wide range of services,” said Ron. “We believe the sponsorship will enhance Metricon’s reputation in the areas we play and the partnership will be rewarding for the Bulleen-Templestowe Boomers, including players and supporters.
