Metricon, Victoria’s leading homebuilder, has announced a new sponsorship with the Ballarat Football League.
Metricon’s Ballarat Area Manager – Glen Pickering, said that the 3 year sponsorship is a great reflection of Metricon’s commitment to involvement in the local community in which it operates.
“Since we commenced business in the area, we have established solid and lasting relationships with the local Ballarat community,” said Glen. “This includes supporting sporting clubs, community organisations and recruiting local staff, suppliers and tradespeople whenever we can.
“We are delighted to be associated with the Ballarat Football League and look forward to building closer ties in Ballarat and the surrounding regions.”
The Ballarat Football League is classified by the VCFL as a “Premier” league in the State - currently ranked number 2. The League encompasses 14 clubs, 5,000 members and spectators from Ballarat, Bacchus Marsh, Melton and Sunbury – areas proudly serviced by Metricon.
“The League represents a large number of football and netball players and supports young talent which we fully endorse,” said Glen.
Rod Ward, Chief Executive Officer of the Ballarat Football League, said that he is thrilled about the sponsorship arrangement with Metricon and looks forward to building a strong affiliation with the company.
“The Ballarat Football League is a non-profit organisation, so any sponsorship we receive is a real bonus for us,” said Glen. “We were thrilled when Metricon agreed to sponsor us for three years, giving us an opportunity to focus on training and developing our players, rather than financial concerns.
“Metricon has an excellent reputation in Ballarat for its quality, innovative designs and wide range of services. We believe the sponsorship will enhance Metricon’s exposure in Ballarat and surrounding areas and the partnership will be rewarding for the League, including players and supporters.
“We look forward to promoting Metricon’s message of ‘love where you live’ through the League.”
