Metricon’s Website Winning Awards All-Round
Australia’s largest home builder, Metricon, is no stranger to winning awards for its innovation, quality and design, and now its responsive and user-friendly website is no exception. Metricon is celebrating the wins of not one but two international awards for its forward-thinking website, which was distinguished with ‘Best Consumer Goods Site’ in the Kentico Site of the Year Awards and declared an Official Honouree in the 19th Annual Webby Awards, all in the one month.
These global awards recognise the best websites and digital experiences from the thousands of websites launched worldwide, and are a true accolade to those who receive them. The sites are judged on the following criteria: content, structure and navigation, visual design, functionality, interactivity and overall experience.
Hailed as the “Internet’s highest honour” by The New York Times, The Webby Awards, are presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS). This leading international award, honours excellence on the Internet. IADAS, which nominates and selects The Webby Award Winners, is comprised of web industry experts, including Tumblr founder, David Karp and Instagram co-founder, Kevin Systrom.
In recognition of the exceptional quality of submissions received this year, the Academy acknowledged outstanding entries as Official Honorees, alongside their Nominees. With nearly 13,000 entries received from more than 60 countries, the Official Honoree distinction was awarded to the top 20% of all work entered that exhibited remarkable achievement.

The Kentico awards recognise the best websites and digital experiences from the thousands of websites launched worldwide built using the Kentico website publishing system.
The first phase of judging involves experts at Kentico short listing the hundreds of nominations down to three finalists in each category. The Kentico community is then invited to vote for the best website in each category from three finalists and Metricon.com.au garnered the most votes in the Best Consumer Goods Site category.
These two prestigious awards are a great achievement for Metricon, who strive for constant innovation, stylish design and high quality in everything they do.
